  1. TAMIL NADU VILLAGE HABITATIONS IMPROVEMENT (THAI) SCHEME

This Government has introduced the flagship programme called Tamil Nadu Village Habitations Improvement (THAI) Scheme from 2011-12 onwards to overcome the bottlenecks in the uneven distribution of resources and to provide minimum basic infrastructure facilities to all the habitations. Tamil Nadu is the only State focusing on ‘Habitation’ as the unit of development and no other State in the Country is implementing such an innovative scheme.

 

  1. RURAL ROADS UNDER NABARD – RURAL INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPEMENT FUND (RIDF)

Following the directions from Government of India, NABARD set up Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) in 1995-96, to extend financial assistance to the State Governments; Government owned Corporations, Village Panchayats, Self Help Groups and Non-Government Organisations for taking up infrastructure projects in rural areas. The NABARD is releasing funds under different tranches. Major investments covered under the Fund include rural roads, bridges, minor irrigation structures, schools, health centers and power projects. Loans under RIDF have been sanctioned by NABARD to the Government of Tamil Nadu. 

 

  1. ENERGISATION OF STREET LIGHTS WITH SOLAR ENERGY

Energisation of Street Lights with Solar Power is a State funded scheme announced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister in the year 2011-12, under which the existing street lights in the Village Panchayats will be replaced with solar powered street lights with an objective of reduction in the maintenance expenditure and promote the concept of renewable energy in rural areas

 

  1. CHIEF MINISTER SOLAR POWERED GREEN HOUSE SCHEME (CMSPGHS)

In the Governor’s address on 03.06.2011 in the Legislative Assembly, it was announced that “This Government will launch a ‘Solar Powered Green House Scheme’ for the benefit of the poor in the rural areas and construct houses measuring about 300 square feet at a unit cost of Rs.1.80 lakh by meeting the entire cost by the State  Government”. 

Accordingly, this Government had ordered for construction of 60,000 Solar Powered Green Houses of 300 square feet each, every year for the next five years commencing from 2011-12 at a unit cost of Rs.1.80 lakhs per house.  The scheme is named as “Chief Minister’s Solar Powered Green House Scheme (CMSPGHS).”

 

  1. DR MUTHULAKSHMI REDDY INTERCASTE MARRIAGE SCHEME

Funding Pattern : a) Rs.15,000/-(Rs.10,000/-as NSC and Rs.5,000/- by way of Demand Draft or Cheque) in case a person belonging to the Forward Community marries a person belonging to B.C / M.B.C. b) Rs.20,000/-(Rs.10,000/-as NSC and Rs.10,000 by way of Demand Draft or Cheque) in case one of the spouse belongs to SC/ST

 

  1. DR. DHARMAMBAL AMMAIYAR NINAIVU WIDOW REMARRIAGE SCHEME

Funding Pattern : Rs.15000 /- (Rs.10000/- as NSC and Rs.5000/- by Demand Draft or Cheque).

Description : b) Income limit No income ceiling c) Age limit Minimum age of 20 years for the bride. d) Other Criteria NIL e) Time limit for sending Within 6 months from the date of marriage application

 

  1. E.V.R. MANIAMMAIYAR NINAIVU POOR WIDOW’S DAUGHTER’S MARRIAGE ASSISTANCE SCHEME

Funding Pattern : Rs.15,000/- (by Cheque/ Demand Draft ) Poor Widows

Description : a) Income limit Not exceeding Rs.12,000/- per annum b) Age limit 18 to 30 years c) Other criteria Only one daughter of poor widow is eligible e) Time limit for sending 3 months before marriage Application

 

  1. MOOVALUR RAMAMIRTHAM AMMAIYAR NINAIVU MARRIAGE ASSISTANCE SCHEME

Funding Pattern : Girls belonging to Poor Families and below poverty line Rs.20,000/- (by Cheque/ Demand Draft) Poor families Girls

Description : a) Educational The bride should have studied upto 10th Std. Qualification V Std for Scheduled Tribe b) Income limit Not exceeding Rs.12,000/- per annum c) Age limit Bride should have completed 18 years of age d) Other criteria Only one girl from a family is eligible e) Time limit for sending Application Within 45 days before the date of Marriage. However even one day prior to marriage also applications are accepted.

 

  1. SATHIYAVANI MUTHU AMMAIYAR NINAIVU FREE SUPPLY OF SEWING MACHINE SCHEME

Funding Pattern : Sewing Machines are supplied free of cost with a view to increase the self employment potential for Rehabilitation of Destitute widows, deserted wives, socially handicapped women and physically handicapped men and women.

 

  1. SATHIYAVANI MUTHU AMMAIYAR NINAIVU FREE SUPPLY OF SEWING MACHINE SCHEME

Funding Pattern : Sewing Machines are supplied free of cost with a view to increase the self employment potential for Rehabilitation of Destitute widows, deserted wives, socially handicapped women and physically handicapped men and women.

 

  1. SATHYA AMMAIYAR NINAIVU GOVERNMENT ORPHANAGES

Funding Pattern : Accommodation, education, uniform, free text books and Note books, medical facilities, chappals and bedding.

Description : Orphan, deserted,destitute nd abandoned children.Children without parents or with single parent. Children of ailing parents and prisoners

 

  1.   ASSURED MAXIMUM SERVICE TO MARGINAL PEOPLE IN ALL VILLAGES (AMMA)

Amma Thittam was started in Tamilnadu on 24.02.2013 by Honourable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Selvi. Jayalalithaa. This is an Revenue Department Scheme. In short the revenue officials will meet the people in a panchayat union on a particular day to receive and redress grievances of the people.

AMMA scheme, officials will go to the people to deliver government services
